Walter L. Woodrick is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, author, financial consultant, public speaker, ministry founder, songwriter, and musician. Having entered the financial industry in the early 1990s, he knows how to effectively communicate with a broad range of people and takes pride in having them truly understand what he's talking about.
A family background of divorce, blended families, and misuse of alcohol, along with a variety of professional, religious, and personal influences, defined Walter's character. His faith carried him through life's trials, even when Walter wasn't aware.
As a child, Walter learned a great deal about how families should and should not conduct themselves through his parents' divorce, financial troubles, and alcohol use. A variety of professional, religious, and personal influences played an important role in helping Walter understand God's plan for him and helped him see the proper ways that people should handle their finances, family, and their faith. After walking away from Christ in his twenties, Walter realized that God is gracious, giving, patient, and righteous - and he decided to glorify Him in all he does for the rest of his life. Walter hopes that others can gain perspective from the written account of his successes, failures, education, and observations.
A graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in economics, Walter currently lives in Panama City, Florida with his wife and three children. In addition to his full-time job as a partner in King Woodrick Wealth Management of Raymond James & Associates, Inc., and he frequently speaks at churches, civic clubs, seminars, and public events in his attempt to promote clarity, perspective, and understanding regarding finances, family, and faith.
