How do you find the correct temperature for soldering?
First, you need to know the melting point of your solder and the working temperature of your flux. Then, you should choose a temperature slightly higher than the melting point of the solder, because the various materials and the solder itself are very good heat conductors. A higher temperature prevents wasting energy that isn't beneficial to your workpiece! Caution: The temperature must not be set too high – the maximum working temperature of your flux must not be exceeded.
