Take responsibility with factory-tested tools from WALTER

At WALTER, the respectful and sustainable use of resources is one of the core elements of our corporate philosophy. Therefore, we continuously review and optimize our workflows and processes – for greater efficiency, quality, and responsibility toward people and the environment.

Responsible use of resources

The sustainable use of resources and raw materials is one of WALTER's core environmental concerns. Tools and equipment returned in Europe – from angle grinders to car jump starters – are thoroughly inspected, repaired if necessary, and returned to the economic cycle as refurbished goods . Naturally, these products also feature the usual WALTER quality and the full statutory warranty.

Further strengthening sustainability ideas

With this measure, we are actively contributing to resource conservation through tool reconditioning and, at the same time, setting a strong sustainable example. In keeping with the 'Repair, Reuse, Recycle' philosophy, Walter clearly assumes responsibility and transforms returned products into new, reusable products – all at an unbeatable price. Naturally, the usual WALTER quality is guaranteed. This allows WALTER to handle tools efficiently while simultaneously conserving resources, further strengthening the concept of sustainability.

Which products are tested and made functional?

We carefully examine products in category B or C that have been returned to WALTER due to minor defects, repair them if necessary, clean them thoroughly and make them fit for your next DIY project.

  • Category A: New goods
  • Category B: New goods with damaged packaging
  • Category C: Used and refurbished goods

"By selling B & C goods alone, we have been able to save around 49 tons of CO₂ since 2016 – that's equivalent to about 16 hectares of forest or 4,000 trees."

How are quality checks and labeling carried out?

Of course, only those items that meet the WALTER quality standards are released. They undergo a rigorous operational check.

"Our products are thoroughly tested, repaired if necessary, cleaned, and made fit for use in the next DIY project. Only when they successfully pass this quality check are these items put back on sale. At WALTER, we understand this as cycle economy. Furthermore, this measure not only protects the environment but also our customers' wallets, because the advantages for our customers are clear: The customer receives a tested WALTER quality product (including warranty) at an unbeatably low price – up to 60% off the list price , " concludes Managing Director Georg Lex.

WALTER is thus fully committed to the circular economy : Through the sustainable use of resources, waste, emissions, and energy waste are reduced by closing energy and material cycles. Incidentally, you can recognize all reprocessed products by the "Multibrand Repacked" badge – your seal of certified quality.

Every purchase counts – Support our projects

For several years, WALTER has donated €1 to TOOLS FOR LIFE for every B- or C-grade item sold. Last year, we were able to donate an impressive €5,300, compared to €5,000 the year before. Every donation makes a valuable contribution to improving education, clean water, and sustainable energy.
